Permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Many of us have done things that we aren't proud of. In fact, all of us have. There is nothing we can do to change that. No matter how much we might want to.
That is one reason I don't like it when diaryists delete their older entries. It is as if they are trying to erase their past. As if by eradicating the words on a computer screen will somehow release them from their transgressions. Nothing will change, even if the reminders aren't there any longer.
It seems a cowardly thing to do. To run from what you don't want to face. Alas, there are things that need to be forgotten. Ones that need to be left alone.
When writing in a on-line diary, you must realize that there are people who are going to look at what you put down. Those who do not want their personal lives revealed to those they don't know. It takes a certain amount of consideration.
There are just some things that don't need to be shown. Some things that are best left to rest. While censorship isn't appreciated by most people, honor should be.
Insulting someone just because you are hurt, is a childish way to go about your life. Cutting them down to make a stepping stone is going to harm you more than your ego will be able to sustain.
